Little Girl’s Big Dream

Attention all Atlanta area residents! My lovely friend, Nikki, has developed her own event planning company so I’m helping promote. She’ll do anything from birthdays to weddings to parties…or just social gatherings you need planned. Take a peek @ her website. www.littlegirlsbigdream.com

I love sparkles so much. So, I must share this website with you for a moment. It’s been mentioned several times in Nylon & Missbehave magazine and it caught my eye. Needless to say, after taking a gander at the awesome bright shadows, glitters, etc.. I ordered something. I ended up purchasing their eye glitter in .44 Magnum which is a dark grey/black. My right eye is actually their e-model for that particular product at the moment! I couldn’t help but notice how ridiculously long the staying power is for the glitter. Of course, you add a base before applying. I use Sephora Piiink’s fixing base. Or you can get one from Medusa’s. But unlike any other old eye glitter, this stuff lasts all night without needing so much as one retouch. The super sparkles always earn me compliments. Anyway, they’re rather unique and you’ll be hard pressed to find something similar anywhere else for the price. So, if you’re into bold makeup…check ‘em out.

Lash Perfection

Every girl is constantly on the prowl for great mascara. Trying to find it is like trying to figure out rocket science. Fret no more. Benefit has made it easier for us damsels in distress. Their BADgal mascara is heaven sent. Want thick & fluffy? You got it. It’s the closest you can get to looking like you’re wearing false lashes without actually wearing them. $19 @ www.sephora.com

However, if you’re on a budget and want more length, Maybelline’s Define-A-Lash is your best bet. The wand bends with your lashes as you apply, making it easier to coat.

*For best results with any mascara, always start from the outer lashes and work your way in with about two coats.

“It girl” status.

Hot mess: Taylor Warren. The young up and coming model has been gracing the covers of the only magazines I’ll read. Nylon & Z!nk. That’s enough to grab my attention. Her pictures, interviews and style intrigued me. It isn’t that often I find myself interested in people. So, I Googled her. There isn’t too much info on her just yet. But I predict that she will be big. Soon.

In this month’s Nylon, alongside Miss Warren, is the adorable Cory Kennedy. Another fabulous “it” girl. I really admire her style. Check out her blog:

Rubber ducky, you’re the one.. lalalala

I’ve been sifting through the unorganized madness that is my bathroom. Apparently, I just buy stuff and never open it. But that’s good because today I discovered another bottle of my favorite shampoo that I thought I was out of. I quietly rejoiced. Most of my friends have short, somewhat thin hair. So no one really shares my pain. My sister and I have been cursed with extremely thick hair that tends to dry out. On top of that, I keep mine pretty long and I absolutely refuse to cut it, no matter what mother suggests. Also, I change my hair color every couple of months. I have tried basically every shampoo on the market over the years. Garnier used to be my favorite until two hairdressers from two different salons explained to me that anything Garnier and Pantene are murder on color treated hair. Some kind of certain chemical in both of them. I had lost all hope of ever having soft, smooth, shiny, healthy hair again. That is, until I came across Nexxus’s Therappe shampoo (which smells fabulous) & Neutrogena’s Triple Moisture cream conditioner (which feels fabulous). When used together, they work wonders. I’d be extra careful if using the Neutrogena conditioner on thin hair, though. It will definitely weigh your hair down. I’m one of those people who will have a horrible day if I have bad hair. If my hair is happy, I’m happy.

Now let me draw your attention to the best soap you could ever use. Pacifica. It’s carefully handmade and full of natural oils. Amazing skin conditioner. Comes in nothing but unique orgasmic scents. I had no idea how healthy it was until I had used it for awhile and did a little research. I just saw it at Anthropologie and bought some because of the intoxicating smell and bright, colorful box. I’m sticking to their Hawaiian Ruby Guava soap. It’s about $7. Get one or two or twelve. Your skin will thank you.

…and bath time isn’t complete without a rubber ducky. Head to Wal Mart because they have ones in outfits that squirt water. How badass is that? Mine’s a sailor. I named him Rupert.

Oh and the boyfriend found these cute ones. I like ducks, okay?

But if you wanna take it up a notch, you can get a Celebriduck. I’m kinda liking the Mae West duck.

Just sharing. I don’t know why I find it so entertaining.

Curiouser and Curiouser…

I have been obsessed with all things Alice in Wonderland for quite some time now. So, I was super excited to see that Bath & Body Works had shown some appreciation for her. I love how Goldie revamped the whole idea into more whimsical designs for their products. I’m not sure how long the line is supposed to be out because it is limited, so I would suggest getting a move on and just buy all of it!

Alice by Goldie

I adore my gloss in Alice, the compact mirror (gift from a friend) and the shimmer powder (my favorite).
