Ever since I was a little girl, I have always loved The Nutcracker. It’s the one thing I instantly associate with Christmas. To me, it’s even more wonderful because ballet has always been a passion. I, myself, was a ballerina for about 8 years. I miss it. But at least I can live vicariously through little Clara. The last time I saw the ballet live was two Christmases ago at Atlanta’s fabulous Fox Theater. I couldn’t manage to go backstage, like I would as a child, but the boyfriend snuck out during an intermission and got me autographed ballet slippers (just as he did when we saw the Romeo & Juliet ballet)!

My all time favorite movie version is Sanrio’s 1979 Nutcracker Fantasy.

Another one that completes the season is Charlie Brown. Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas. He’s an endless classic.

Can’t forget Rudolph & Frosty!

And, of course…
