We’re all on a neverending quest to uncover the creme de la creme of skin care products. While most seem hopeless, there are the chosen few that are worthy of resting upon the shelves of our bathrooms. I’ve tried way too many products to ever count for my sensitive, combination (mostly oily) skin. Some good, some bad. But there are exactly eight that I will forever turn to time and time again. The following are my all time top picks…

1. C.O. Bigelow Acai Repair Night Cream (for all skin types) $24 – Thanks to a friend’s gift card and my impatience to shop, I discovered this little gem right around the time it came out. As a die hard C.O. Bigelow fan, of course I had to buy it. I’m always on the hunt for a good all over face cream and this one takes the cake. Don’t be fooled by its pinkish color in the jar. This acai berry, antioxidant, multi-vitamin, multi-mineral packed wonder has been named a Bigelow superhero. I’d put it right up there with Batman. Apply each night before bed all over your face and neck or whenever you feel like it for soft, healthy, glowing skin. Oh, and it smells like Heaven.
2. C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve (all purpose) $5.50 – I’ve raved about this numerous times before, I know. It’s an all around favorite and beauty staple of mine that should quickly become yours, as well. The rose salve, with its subtle floral scent, serves a purpose for lips, cuticles, nails, dry skin, blemishes, rashes, redness, etc. I can’t get enough of it. Who knew such a small tin could provide so much relief?
3. C.O. Bigelow Rose Wonder Cold Cream $15 – This moisturizing, cleansing makeup remover is a savior. Gentle removal and no breakouts. All you need to apply is a thin layer and you’re good to go.
4. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrate $50 to $85 – Another product I have previously given praise to. I picked the $50 bottle as a free gift from Macy’s some time ago when their beauty department was obligated to hand out freebies for a certain period of time. No other similar product could hold a candle to this particular serum. I’d say this is the queen of all skin care. It reverses past damage, protects against future damage, reduces redness, moisturizes, minimizes any flaw and much more. I simply use a full dropper once or twice to massage into my face before bed when needed (feel free to follow it with your usual cream). I wake up with a completely revitalized face, bright complexion and any little spot that presented itself the night before just disappeared. If you’re ever going to invest in a pricey skin care product, I highly recommend that you bank on this.
5. Freeze 24-7 Anti-Aging Eye Serum $115 – I first sampled this when Victoria’s Secret sold it and made it a habit to keep going back for more. This ever so cooling eye serum feels like you’re holding ice cubes under your eyes as you apply. You can almost feel it tighten up as it begins to work its way in. Almost instantly, dark circles, lines, puffiness, everything…gone. It’s like you just had a special treatment done – minus all the bills. I immediately notice a difference in pictures when I use this stuff. No other eye cream has ever been so fast acting and impressive. This is definitely for the gal who is looking for instant gratification.
6. Make Up For Ever HD Microperfecting Primer $32 – I have a bottle of this in Neutral and apply it all over my face before any foundation. This lightweight formula creates an amazing airbrushed look as it nourishes, moisturizes and enhances your skin. It provides a glowing, evenly toned appearance that can’t be rivaled by any other primer. The beauty of it is, it comes in different shades to adapt to whatever skin issue you’re looking to target. Are you ready for your close up?
7. Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Wash $7.99 – This is probably the only face wash I will ever use again in life. It’s the most effective blemish and blackhead reducer I’ve had the pleasure of using thus far. It contains 100% natural grapefruit and vitamin C and smells absolutely amazing. It isn’t too harsh and doesn’t over-dry like most. I usually use this twice a day and actually look forward to washing my face with this. You can also find this at Target.
8. Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment $6.99 – The best acne treatment in all the land. I challenge you to find one better. It claims to work in as little as 8 hours, but it’s more like 24. No over-drying or irritation. Just a little dab of it (maybe twice a day) is all you need. Like the Neutrogena Grapefruit wash, I’ve successfully turned several friends onto this product as avid users (male and female). Now it’s your turn! This can also be found at Wal Mart.
Now you can be the fairest one of all!
