There’s been quite a buzz about that infamous little blonde lately (in the name of accuracy, the idea was based on a brunette). Lewis Carroll’s whimsical story has come a long way in history and has dazzled countless hearts. Now that Alice is becoming more mainstream, she’s popping up everywhere. Designers have been drawing their runway inspiration from Wonderland, themed jewelry & cosmetic lines have been released and new adaptations keep coming out of the woodworks.
Versace’s Spring 2010 Ready to Wear collection is inspired by Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland with the usual brazen colors, patterns and fabrics. Versace never disappoints.

Collette Dinnigan’s beautiful Spring 2010 Ready to Wear collection takes a trip down the rabbit hole for inspiration, as well.

While I enjoyed Tim Burton’s Alice in 3D, it wasn’t exactly everything I had hoped. I felt that Alice’s character was lacking and the Mad Hatter was over-the-top. Disney had a field day with the nonsense. But as a forever fan, I liked it by default. However, I loved the modern take that SyFy had on the story.
I’m anxious to see Marilyn Manson’s version of it in Phantasmagoria if it’s ever finished.
